Олон улсын эрүүгийн шүүхийн шүүгчээр сонгогдсон анхны монгол хүн болсон нь хувь хүний мэдлэг чадвар, хичээл зүтгэлээс гадна улс орны нэр хүнд олон улсын тавцанд өсөж, байр суурь бэхэжсэн, олон улсын байгууллагууд Монгол Улсад итгэж байгаагийн илрэл гэдгийг Ерөнхийлөгч тэмдэглэлээ.
Мөн олон улсын эрх зүй, олон улсын эрүүгийн эрх зүйн үйл ажиллагаанд эх орноо төлөөлөн хувь нэмрээ оруулах өндөр хариуцлага ногдож байгааг онцолж, Монгол Улсын шүүхийн салбарт алтан үсгээр бичигдэх үйл явдал болсныг тодотгов.
Ерөнхийлөгч Ухнаагийн Хүрэлсүх 2021 онд Олон улсын эрүүгийн шүүхийн шүүгчид монгол хүний нэрийг дэвшүүлэх санаачилга гаргаж, бэлтгэл хангах Ажлын хэсгийг Тамгын газрын дарга Я.Содбаатараар ахлуулан байгуулж ажиллуулсанд шүүгч Д.Эрдэнэбалсүрэн талархал илэрхийллээ.

Шүүгч Д.Эрдэнэбалсүрэн нь АНУ-ын Нью-Йорк хотноо 12 дугаар сарын 04-14-ний өдрүүдэд болсон Олон улсын эрүүгийн шүүх (ОУЭШ)-ийн Ромын дүрэмд Оролцогч талуудын Ассамблейн 22 дугаар чуулганы үеэр ОУЭШ-ийн шүүгчийн сонгуульд нэр дэвшин, 114 улсаас 81 санал авсан юм.
Энэ удаагийн сонгуульд 13 улс өрсөлдсөнөөс эхний санал хураалтаар ялсан байна.
Д.Эрдэнэбалсүрэн нь Дээд шүүхийн Эрүүгийн хэргийн танхимд 10 гаруй жил, эрүүгийн эрх зүй, эрүүгийн байцаан шийтгэх чиглэлээр 30 гаруй жил ажилласан юм.
